Our Therapy

 At Monarch Coaching and Counseling we look at the symbolism of the butterfly and the perseverance of the Monarch butterfly to guide our clients in their personal transformation, channel their inner creativity, endless potential, and work to find vibrant joy, change, and strength to experience their personal life goals.

The cycle of the butterfly in and of itself holds insight for us. Starting as a caterpillar, the butterfly retreats within the chrysalis where it undergoes transformation. The caterpillar must complete this difficult transition in order to realize it’s full transformation. At Monarch Coaching and Counseling, our holistic approach to wellness allows clients to transform in a safe environment, free from stress and  judgement, growth is able to be experienced through multiple modalities.

If you are looking for guidance with anxiety, fears, depression, or stress, it takes courage to ask for help. It is important to take care of your mind, body and spirit. Admitting you can’t do everything on your own, is the first step toward achieving wellness in a fast paced, demanding world.

The good news is, asking for help gets easier with a little practice. The way in which we cope in the world is greatly influenced by how we see and interact with the world. Asking for help, and obtaining a fresh perspective is often the first and most profound step toward developing the mental muscle and physical strength needed to become stronger. The more support you gain, the better equipped you will be to take on bigger challenges and achieve more successes.  Achieving the perfect balance between the health of mind, body, and spirit involves making use of several techniques and practices. Your journey is definitely not a one-size-fits-all approach. The whole person experts at Monarch offer a balanced approach and will help design and guide you through your personal journey. Incorporating holistic practices such as yoga and massage therapy combine physical, mental and spiritual learnings and support to round out your journey to wellness.  

 

Our counselors use a combination of methods including: CBT, CPT, EMDR, ART, NLP, IFS, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, somatic sensitization, Client Centered Therapy and mindfulness.
As we are dedicated to total health, Monarch offers several modalities of care to clients including individual, couples and family therapy.  We are also proud to offer Breakthrough Intensives curated for a new level of rapid healing.  We also partner with a Reiki and Massage therapist to provide these holistic services on site.  
Access and referral to psychedelic assisted therapy and prescribers for psychotropic medication is also available for clients.

Coaching

 Coaching can give you the support you need for life changing decisions, become the catalyst for becoming your most authentic and successful self. Life coaching can help bring clarity, improve confidence and develop empowerment to help you overcome obstacles, fears and insecurities. Through the coaching relationship we will bridge the gap between theory and practice and create an accountable plan for you to recognize the possibilities in your life and achieve your goals faster.

 

Feeling stuck in your career, transitioning from college to the workforce, transitioning from one position to another? Do you find yourself taking on new duties such as caring for a loved one, juggling virtual school/work as well as your family? Are you finding yourself in a virtual community yearning for more purpose and connection? We offer life coaching for those who are looking for help with redirection, discovery and life changing decisions. Meeting you where you are we use a root cause analytic approach to mapping out your path, identifying clear objectives, measurable goals, and outcomes analysis. 

Coaching packages include individual, group and monthly rates. 

 

Counseling

 Counseling/Psychotherapy can be an effective tool in providing you with the necessary support and training to overcome the challenges you face. Many studies have shown throughout the years that psychotherapy is an effective form of treating and managing mental illnesses and other emotional disorders. 


 Struggling with changes in your day to day? Finding yourself overwhelmed with the stress of everyday life? Do you find yourself in a new position of caring for an elderly loved one? Have you been recently diagnosed with a new illness that requires significant life changes? In this ever changing world, it is normal for the "stuff" in life to become too much. Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which service is right for me—therapy or coaching?
That’s a common question. Therapy focuses on emotional health, mental well-being, and healing, and may be billed to insurance when applicable. Coaching is future-focused and goal-oriented, supporting growth, accountability, and skill-building, and is not billed to insurance. If you’re unsure which is the best fit, we’re happy to help you explore your options.

Do I need a diagnosis to start therapy?
No. You do not need a diagnosis to begin therapy. When therapy is billed to insurance, a diagnosis is required for insurance reimbursement, but this does not define you or limit the focus of your care.

What if I don’t know exactly what I want to work on?
That’s okay. Many people begin services simply knowing they want support or things to feel different. Therapy and coaching can help clarify goals as you go.

Do you work with trauma and PTSD?
Yes. Our clinicians use a trauma-informed, nervous-system-aware approach. Some clients come in specifically wanting trauma support, while others notice patterns such as heightened stress, emotional reactivity, or difficulty feeling settled. We work at your pace and never require you to share details before you’re ready.

Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we offer insurance-based therapy as well as self-pay options. Coverage varies by plan. Our team works to clarify financial responsibility prior to your first appointment whenever possible.

What if I need couples or relationship counseling?
We offer relationship and couples counseling for those wanting support with communication, connection, or navigating change. You do not need to be in crisis to begin. Insurance coverage varies, and self-pay options are available.

What if only one partner wants to come in?
That’s okay. Relationship work can begin individually, and therapy can still focus on relational patterns, boundaries, and communication.

How long are sessions?
Session length varies by service and age group. Typical therapy sessions range from approximately 45–53 minutes, while coaching sessions and intensives may vary. Specific scheduling details are discussed prior to your first appointment.

Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes. Telehealth and virtual coaching options are available when appropriate and in accordance with applicable regulations.

Can I text or email my provider?
Yes, for scheduling and brief communication. Some coaching packages include between-session support for accountability. Text and email are not appropriate for emergencies or crisis situations.

What if I need immediate help or I’m in crisis?
Monarch Therapies is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 911, 988, or go to the nearest emergency room.
